Corporate Photography for the City of Edmonton
Doing corporate photography for the City Of Edmonton has been a rollercoaster ride of various shoots with different visual needs. We have been fortunate to work very closely alongside the City of Edmonton on their new campaign Evolving Infill. Edmonton is growing at a rapid pace and the 2017 Infill season has started off strong with media events, open invites across the city for public discussions and information sessions that inform the Edmonton public about all things infill. In past years infill has been a hot topic with both positive and negative response from Edmontonians. The city is launching an initiative to let us know that we are being heard and to invite us to contribute opinions and ideas! For more information on Infill in the City of Edmonton please visit the City of Edmonton Infill site here!
Events and projects photographed for the Evolving Infill initiative
Below we have featured some of the events and projects we have photographed for the Evolving Infill initiative. Shooting corporate photography for the City Of Edmonton has been exciting. It has been a rewarding and an integral part of our evolution in photography. Helping to tell people’s stories and to visually communicate the impacts of infill in our communities has been an eye opening experience. We have earned a front seat recording the process of the infill department and what that means for our communities. We are so beyond honored to have had these opportunities offered to us.

City of Edmonton- Public Infill Discussion at City Hall (Evolving Infill)
Evolving Infill, is an opportunity to work with Edmontonians to identify the next best steps tothe growing population and how to accommodate them without having to necessarily grow outwards. This project helps provide opportunities for Edmontonians to question what infill means for the city, and helps us to explore how to better support new homes within mature and established neighborhoods over the coming years. As stated on the City of Edmonton website:
The 3 main objectives
Evolving Infill has three main objectives:
- Find opportunities to welcome more people and new homes into our neighborhoods.
- Identify recommendations for how the City can best support quality residential infill development in core, mature and established neighborhoods.
- Create a strategic implementation plan to support the recommendations.
City of Edmonton- Looking into Garage Suites
As stated on the City of Edmonton Infill website: “Garden Suite means a single-story Accessory Dwelling, which is located in a building separate from the principal use, which is Single Detached Housing. A Garden Suite has cooking facilities, food preparation, sleeping and sanitary facilities which are separate from those of the principal dwelling located on the site.” The city of Edmonton encourages and monitors guidelines for proper infill which includes style of infill and size.
