Earlier this year we were approached to do some E-Commerce photography for a skin care line. We pride ourselves in being multi disciplined but wearing the hat of Edmonton product photographer is a new area. In fact, when we talked with the client to find out what they would be needing we came to the agreement that we would "try" our rusty hands in this endeavor. We have shot products in the past but it had admittedly been a few years. We were feeling a bit rusty. Upon agreeing to shoot we asked that the product be left in our possession a bit longer than normal so that we could work our product photography muscles. We have never been opposed to being considered an Edmonton product photographer but we just hadn't had much inquiry into it.

Getting it just right!

Thankfully it didn't take us long at all to get into the swing of things. The bottles took a bit of set up time, however, once we got the lighting right we fell right into it! It actually only took us a couple of hours at most! These specific bottles are being sold in Slovenia. New purple glass jars are being distributed all over the world. This was a good testing ground as shooting white on white without losing detail is no easy task. Therefore, white on white (although quite matte in material) was a good test. It will better prepare us for the purple bottles that are highly reflective as they are made of glass.
