In 2020- an opportunity to shoot infill for Cejay Ventures Ltd

We have had lots of opportunities over the years being an Edmonton infill photographer. Working with the City of Edmonton's infill department for a handful of years was an honor and in 2020 another opportunity to shoot infill for Cejay Ventures Ltd (Tritone Inc) presented itself! Cejay Ventures Ltd approached us early on in the pandemic in March to shoot a couple of properties. Located in and around West Jasper Place and Crestwood they really wanted to highlight luxury multiplexes on narrow lot lines.

Multiplexes are a better option

The multiplexes have all the best features and everything you could possibly want. They believe that multiplexes are a better option than skinny houses due to loss of valuable living space/square footage. Intrigued to finally see them we have to say we were quite impressed by the layout and tons of space! Sometimes skinny houses can feel just that- skinny....and long. Cejay Ventures Ltd really wanted to cut away the unused lot space and build "more home" on smaller lots. Personally we loved them upon seeing them. The layouts are spacious and they have the best finishes! Everything from solid built-in cabinetry in the large bedrooms and bathrooms to classic stone, wood and tile accents throughout. Being an Edmonton infill photographer has had some amazing moments and Cejay Ventures Ltd was one of them!

The Minchau Blacksmith Shop

At the end of the Summer of 2020 Cejay Ventures Ltd contacted us again. They wanted some photographs of an historical building that was being forced to quickly tear down. Not having decided on what they wanted to do with the land the Minchau Blacksmith Shop was a big part of Edmonton's history. Their vision? To keep and repurpose materials from the Minchau. The build was solid and because of it's history Cejay Ventures wanted to honor the history of this Edmonton Landmark by reusing materials for a future building. They also chose us to capture photos of the Minchau for future art prints. An opportunity to display photos of the historic building in the lobby of the new development when the time came.

We do not want to show you too many of the prints but we have uploaded a handful of them for your current viewing pleasure. We look forward to the day we see these printed large for everyone who visits the new building to see and appreciate.
