When DIALOG reached out to ask if we were taking new clients it floored us!

When DIALOG reached out to ask if we were taking new clients it floored us! What an opportunity to bring on such a respected company. Architectural photography for DIALOG was something we got really excited about. While we have years of experience shooting exteriors and interiors of buildings for many of Alberta's top construction companies we don't have much experience shooting other infrastructure. That's not to say we hadn't done some interesting and varied shoots like the Acheson Reservoir or Chandos Construction's HSADF Digestate PFRP Project back in 2020 as seen here but shooting for an architectural firm meant more opportunities of it.

Contracted to shoot the Aster Gardens Assisted Living facility

DIALOG's first photography offer was in our wheelhouse when we were contracted to shoot the Aster Gardens Assisted Living facility. It is a beautiful facility and after two years of construction, the fully-independent living seniors residence takes into account the different needs and interest of all seniors. The name itself, Aster, comes from the flower which is local to Sherwood Park. Asters are known to bloom later in the season. Aster Gardens was all made possible by Optima Living and partners Pangman Development Corporation, and the founders of Synergy Wellness Centre. Their private investment of $50 million allowed Aster to be the assisted living facility that it is today.The facility offers a memory care program for people with cognitive concerns such as Alzheimer’s disease, other kinds of dementia and memory concerns. The University of Alberta and the University of Manitoba collaborated and developed the program. Designed by award-winning creative specialists DIALOG, every inch of space produces meaningful engagement!

The Groat Road Bridge Rehabilitation project

Soon after Aster Gardens DIALOG contacted us for some photos of the Groat Road Bridge Rehabilitation project. Groat Road Bridge is one of the major projects that caped off the 2020 season. The road is now open to two lanes of traffic in both directions. A wider shared use path is also ready for pedestrians and cyclists. "The bridge is a major artery in the heart of Edmonton's river valley and has been under construction for over two years with one lane of travel open in each direction. The sidewalk was narrowed during construction, too. For a roadway that carries tens of thousands of vehicles every day, having two lanes open again is a relief!" It has been such a pleasure and thrill to have DIALOG as one of our clients. Hopefully e get to serve their photo needs again this year and keep the relationship blossoming! Shooting architectural photography for DIALOG is thrilling for many reasons. The GRB project even allowed us to use our drone photography offerings for those hard to see details of the bridge!
