Produce some colorful and bold product shots

Earlier this year we had the pleasure of helping Aurora Flags update their website. Their website designer contacted us and said they were in need of corporate photographer who could help produce some colorful and bold product shots. The shoot took 2 days as they needed both commerce shots taken in their warehouse and on location shots showing their product in use. This was a bit of a tough project to shoot. The products shot at the warehouse needed to ultimately be on a white background (which meant some intense editing.) Or 2nd shoot to various locations called for excess wind (so the flags would fly high and proud yet not ripple too hard.)When shooting the products on location we thought it would be easier, and more time efficient, to ride shotgun with the client. They ultimately knew which flags and banners they wanted photographed and where they were located. Time was also a huge factor.While in car we had a really interesting chat about their business and what they, ultimately, wanted to portray.

It's not just a flag but a feeling

"It's not just a flag but a feeling. Pride." I never really analyzed my feelings when it came to looking at a flag before. As a corporate photographer I was being asked to evoke a feeling from an inanimate object. I found it intriguing. My companion said that when you look at a national flag you feel a sense of pride. So, naturally, when you have a company you pour blood, sweat and tears into, and you get a flag/banner that stands tall next to your country's flag, there's a deep emotion there. When I see flags and banners now, especially here in Edmonton where we have SO many self made businesses, I remember our conversation often...The end result? The photos are everything the client needed and wanted for their new site.

They also hired our sister company, Point Of View Media to capture a 15 second drone clip for a "hero spot" on their homepage. It looks great!
